കുർദ്ദിഷ് കവിത

 ഇന്നൊരു കുർദ്ദിഷ് കവിതയാണ് മൊഴിമാറ്റിയത്. കാജൽ അഹ്മദിൻ്റെ The letter.

The Letter

On a simple sheet of paper,

the moon sent these simple lines

to the sun's house:

‘After all these years

of waiting for you,

I feel too shy to ask:

Why don't you marry me?'

And the sun, by way of

one of the stars, replied:

‘After all these years

of hiding from you,

I don't want to tell you:

I don't dare.'

എഴുത്ത്

------ കാജൽ അഹ്മദ്

ഒരു വെള്ളകടലാസിൽ 

ചന്ദ്രൻ സൂര്യൻ്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് ഈ വരികളെഴുതിയയച്ചു:

"ഇക്കണ്ട കാലം മുഴുവൻ നിനക്കായി കാത്തിരുന്നിട്ട് ഇപ്പോഴിതു ചോദിക്കാൻ നാണമാവുന്നു - എന്തേ നീയെന്നെ കല്യാണം കഴിക്കാത്തത്?"

സൂര്യൻ അതിനു മറുപടിയായി നക്ഷത്രങ്ങൾ വഴി ഇങ്ങനെ അറിയിച്ചു:

"ഇക്കണ്ട കാലം മുഴുവൻ നിന്നിൽ നിന്നു മറഞ്ഞിരുന്നിട്ട് ഇനി നിന്നോട് പറയാൻ വയ്യ

എനിക്ക് ധൈര്യമില്ലെന്ന് "
