പഷ്തോ കവിത

 അഫ്ഗാനിസ്ഥാനി എഴുത്തുകാരിയായ പർവീൺ ഫയിസ് സദാ മലാലിൻ്റെ ഒരു പഷ്തോ കവിത.

Like a Desert Flower

Translated from Pashto by Dawood Azami

Like a desert flower waiting for rain,

like a river-bank thirsting for the touch of pitchers,

like the dawn

longing for light;

and like a house,

like a house in ruins for want of a woman -

the exhausted ones of our times

need a moment to breathe,

need a moment to sleep,

in the arms of peace, in the arms of peace.

മരുഭൂമിയിലെ പൂവു പോലെ

          - പർവീൺ ഫയിസ്  സദാ മലാൽ 


മഴ കാത്തു നിൽക്കുന്ന മരുഭൂമിയിലെ പൂവു പോലെ,

മൺകുടങ്ങളെ കാത്തു നിൽക്കുന്ന പുഴയോരം പോലെ

വെട്ടം വീഴുന്നതിനായി നോക്കി നിൽക്കുന്ന പുലരി പോലെ,

ഒരു വീടുപോലെ,

-സ്ത്രീസ്പർശമില്ലാതെ നാശോന്മുഖമായ വീടുപോലെ

തളർന്നവശരായ നമ്മുടെ സഹയാത്രികർക്ക്

വീർപ്പെടുക്കാനൊരു നിമിഷം വേണം

ഒന്നു കണ്ണടയ്ക്കാൻ ഒരു നിമിഷം

സമാധാനത്തിൻ്റെ മടിത്തട്ടിൽ ഒന്നുറങ്ങാനൊരു നിമിഷം.

ജാപ്പനീസ് കവിത

 ജാപ്പനീസ് എഴുത്തുകാരി സയാക ഒസാകിയുടെ Noisy Animal എന്ന കവിതയാണിന്ന് മൊഴി മാറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. നിർത്താതെ സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നടക്കുന്ന മൃഗമായാണ് അവർ സ്വയം വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. 2011 ൽ ജപ്പാനെ നടുക്കിയ ഭൂമി കുലുക്കത്തിൻ്റെയും സുനാമിയുടെയും തുടർന്നുണ്ടായ ആണവദുരന്തത്തിൻ്റെയുമെല്ലാം പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിലെഴുതിയ ഈ കവിത വാക്കുകളെ വിശ്വസിക്കരുതെന്ന് താക്കീതു ചെയ്യുന്നു. മനുഷ്യരനുഭവിക്കുന്ന ആദ്യ ദുരന്തം ഭാഷയാണെന്നാണ് ഒസാകി പറയുന്നത്.
